The new Subaru Crosstrek receives a major set of updates, and continues to be a practical yet funky compact SUV that isn't ashamed to get filthy.

One of the most well-liked Subaru offerings available is the Crosstrek. The Crosstrek has the eccentricities you want and the practicality you need if you’re looking for something that is both effective and reasonably priced. People can’t get enough of it since it’s so cozy, useful, and fashionable.

The Crosstrek is still a tall, subcompact crossover with lots of ride height and a black plastic body covering. It’s not scared to get muddy, on top of being a practical automobile for the daily commute. The crossover is the perfect car for anyone who likes to be on an adventure, whether they’re in the city or out in nature.

It combines a small body with a tough and sporty style. One of the greatest off-roaders in its class the Crosstrek comes with standard all-wheel drive (AWD), 8.7 inches of ground clearance, and off-road capabilities, including X-Mode. The Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30, and Toyota Corolla Cross are some of its major rivals.

The compact SUV, known as the Subaru Crosstrek, will launch its sales operations in Japan first. Subaru plans to launch the new Crosstrek in the US by the end of 2022. The 2023 Crosstrek starts with an MSRP of $23,645 for the standard and the hybrid starts from $36,845.

The new small SUV has a redesigned body with smoother surfaces and sharper LED lighting. The Crosstrek rides on the same Subaru Global Platform (SGP) as the existing model. Compared to its predecessor, the new Subaru Crosstrek generation, the body panels have all been redone for a more contemporary and robust appearance, yet the greenhouse and proportions remain comparable.

The new Crosstrek measures 176 inches in length, 70 inches in width, and 62 inches in height, but is 1.18 inches taller when roof racks and an antenna are installed. However, the additional interior room provided by its larger wheelbase should be helpful. We see the biggest changes up front, where the sharper, thinner headlights and wider front grille provide a more unique profile.

The wider hexagon grille, which connects to the full-LED headlamps, has a design that is quite comparable to the rest of the Subaru portfolio. Subaru also claims to have increased the amount of black plastic covering the wheel wells. Enhancing the rugged appearance in conjunction with the evident roof rails and fender add-ons.

Although we don’t yet have U.S. specifications, the new Crosstrek rides on an improved version of the same platform as previously. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with a lithium-ion battery known as the e-Boxer will power the Crosstrek. Which is currently entering its third generation in the Japanese market. A 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with 152 horsepower is the base unit of the Crosstrek in its standard configuration. A four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with 182 horsepower is available in higher models.

The plug-in hybrid Crosstrek will be the most fuel-efficient option for those shopping for a Crosstrek. It gets an impressive 35 MPG combined on gas alone and 90 MPGe on gas and electricity combined. In contrast, competitors like the Hyundai Kona only achieve roughly 26 MPG combined. On a Level 2 charge, it will refill in around two hours, or on a standard household 120-volt outlet, it will do so in five hours.

The redesigned vehicle, according to the brand, should reduce noise and vibrations better than the current XV. and provide a smoother ride by being stiffer than before. For buyers, there are currently six trim options available for the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. The base trim starts at $24,870 while the Crosstrek Hybrid costs $38.070, as does the Premium ($26,020). New Special Edition ($27,970), Sport ($29,220), Limited ($30,720), and Sport ($29,220) trims. All of these prices are inclusive of the destination charges.

A huge 11.6-inch vertical touch screen dominates the new Crosstrek’s interior. Even if the software is the same, it’s a substantial upgrade from the previous 8.0-inch screen. The speedometer and RPM meter on the instrument panel in front of the driver, however, still use analog meters. The only digital component is a tiny multi-info display that sits in between them. The touchscreen has replaced the outdated traditional climate controls.

Despite having a smaller exterior, Subaru claims that the interior remains just as large as in prior versions. Although the rear seats would fold 60:40, the amount of luggage space they will provide is yet unknown. Additionally, they changed the mounts for the seats to lessen vibration and enhance the damping between the seat and the vehicle.

Subaru updated its EyeSight safety system features by introducing a new generation of wide-angle monocular cameras. The Crosstrek also has a ton of safety features, such as a new stereo camera unit, LED cornering lights, and a digital multi-view monitor. Rear cross-traffic and blind-spot detection systems, as well as reverse automatic braking, are added in the Limited and Hybrid models.
